(Nashville, TN – Aug. 26, 2010) Nashville-based marketing and promotions firm, The AristoMedia Group, is continuing its run of successful DownCast campaigns with recent projects from superstar Taylor Swift and the nationally televised flood benefit concert, Nashville Rising.

A video content distribution service created jointly by The AristoMedia Group and Travis Television Productions, DownCast is a media delivery platform that provides high-quality entertainment news content to online, print, radio and television-based media outlets. Since 2009, DownCast has distributed new release campaigns for a number of Country music artists, including Jamey Johnson, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Sugarland, Josh Turner and others. In recent months, the service has distributed exclusive content for Taylor Swift’s single, “Mine,” and behind-the-scenes footage from the nationally televised Nashville Rising benefit concert and fundraising event held in Nashville.

“The beauty of the DownCast service is that media outlets get free access to a set of downloadable, high-quality files that can be used as-is for broadcast television use, streaming purposes, or any number of different formats,” says AristoMedia President Jeff Walker. “We’re just now starting to see the uses DownCast has beyond music industry applications, as well. It’s exciting when you consider the possibilities out there.”

The AristoMedia Group and Travis Television Productions launched the DownCast service in July 2009 as a comprehensive tool to distribute free, broadcast-quality video content, audio clips and press materials to thousands of media outlets around the world. The system allows outlets on-demand access to the files on a secure, password-protected server. The DownCast service expanded its capabilities in 2010 to include distribution of promotional materials for print media, such as author Andy Andrews’ best-selling release, “The Heart Mender.”

Contest solicits fans for their best pick-up lines, offers chance to win free downloads, autographed prize packs
(Nashville, TN – July 13, 2010) Warner Music Nashville and Marco Club Connection have teamed up to create Reprise recording artist Blake Shelton’s “All About Tonight” Come-On Contest, with a chance for fans to win free downloads and autographed Shelton memorabilia.

The “All About Tonight” Come-On Contest and promotion consists of a unique online and dance club component. In the online contest, fans call in to a special hotline at (615) 942-0746 (615) 942-0746 and record their best pick-up lines, which Shelton reviews each week. The winning submissions are announced on Blake’s Tuesday Take Six Webisodes, with winners receiving a Reprise Records prize pack containing autographed Blake Shelton swag. Callers who record a message also receive a link to download “All About Tonight” for free.

The contest, organized by Marco Club Connection and held in more than 200 Country dance venues across the country, was originally geared towards club patrons, but exploded in popularity when Shelton began posting about it on Twitter and Facebook. Warner Music Nashville subsequently expanded the contest so that online fans could participate through the singer’s official website at www.BlakeShelton.com. Listen to this week’s winning online submission here.

“The ‘All About Tonight’ Come-On Contest is a unique effort to involve fans at the club level, built around Blake’s well-known sense of humor and active fan base,” says Kelli Cashiola, VP of Brand Management, Warner Music Nashville.

As part of the dance venue promotions, clubs are hosting their own in-house “All About Tonight” Come-On Contests in August. Club-goers will have the opportunity to deliver their favorite pick-up lines in front of a live audience, who will then vote on the best submission for a chance to win an official prize pack. Details of the club contests vary from venue to venue.

“The feedback that we’re getting from our clubs is that they’re having a really great time with this contest,” says Club Connection Manager of Venue Marketing, Bobbe Morhiser. “People are getting a kick out of hearing their pick-up lines on Blake’s website, which range from hilarious to corny to a little racy, and then there are some that are just plain confusing. They’re all entertaining, though!”

“All About Tonight” is Shelton’s debut single from his forthcoming SIX PAK release, All About Tonight, due out Aug. 10. The song follows “Hillbilly Bone,” which won an Academy of Country Music and CMT Award and features Shelton’s longtime friend, Trace Adkins. “All About Tonight” is currently a Top 10 hit on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.

Duane Angelvette, founder of rock band Angelvette, is extremely pleased with the response the CD Fully Loaded is getting. The CD is basically a cross between AC/DC and ZZ Top.

The long haired, strappling Angelvette (I get the Tarzan thing a lot, he smiles) is especially proud of a track called She loves Country. “It’s a little different from the other songs on my CD, but I wanted to do something that was country and really fun and infectious. I feel we’ve achieved that because the reaction to the song has been great. I spent 5 extended periods in Nashville as a songwriter and I’m a huge fan of country music.”

David Bradley Brings Attention To Flood Relief Effort

Posted by clubconneciton On May - 18 - 2010

Gecko Music artist David Bradley has begun a campaign of his own to help the Red Cross of Middle Tennessee raise funds for Nashville’s flood victims. He has launched a “Red Alert” Red Cross campaign. Bradley now has a Red Cross button prominently displayed on all of his social media sites including his Facebook page, his website www.davidbradleymusic.com, and his Myspace page www.myspace.com/davebradleymusic. Plans are in place for a bulletin announcing the campaign and asking his fans and the fans of country music in general to help Nashville flood victims in this time of need. The bulletin will be issued to friends, street teams, fan club members and Twitter followers. Bradley hopes that country music lovers will “click” the button and make a donation or go a step further and actually put a “Red Alert” button up on their own respective sites, keeping the viral rescue and recovery train moving. The end game is helping Middle Tennesseans recover from the loss, devastation and displacement that received minimal national acknowledgement. Recent severe flooding has devastated, without prejudice, the lives of numerous Middle Tennesseans. Rather than participate in the abundance of fundraising concerts and local telethons that were scheduled as the music and local media community’s immediate response to the disaster, Bradley, by design, chose to wait and act when the rescue fervor began to diminish. He gave much thought and consideration to how he might make a difference before deciding upon the “Red Alert” Red Cross campaign.

The following note from Bradley will be posted on his sites:

“My sincere and heartfelt wishes go out to all across Middle Tennessee who have lost possessions, memories and loved ones in the recent floods.

When crises such as these hit so close to home and so strongly it’s often hard to know where to turn to help first. You feel surrounded by devastation and blessed to have escaped so lightly. Some have lost some, some have lost all, but everyone is feeling it. If you can help, in any way, I’d like to guide you to the Red Cross official donation unit by adding the Red Cross button to my sites. You can click and contribute safely and in the knowledge that whatever you can do to help will make it to the right people

Very close to my heart is the heart and soul of music city and that is the musicians who have lost some or all of their equipment. Possessions, yes. Replaceable, mostly. But this recent event has hit the men and women who give the city its musical and lyrical pulse. Those who live to make music and smiles and memories.

Please click and contribute and play your part in the Nashville recovery effort.

From music city,

Thank you,

David Bradley

Bradley’s new single “Soak It Up” is gaining the attention of country music lovers and radio stations across the nation. The song, which proclaims the virtues of summer, is featured on Bradley’s forthcoming CD MOVIN’ ON, produced by Brady Seals. Bradley, a staff songwriter with Wrensong Publishing in Nashville, co-wrote “Soak It Up” with Seals. He is currently a featured guest on tour with Seals for nearly twenty shows across the United States. A “Soak It Up” dance mix is being featured in clubs.

Nashville Floods Claim Grand Ole Opry House

Posted by clubconneciton On May - 5 - 2010

opryfloodThe devastating floods in Nashville have inundated the Grand Ole Opry House, the most famous country-music venue in the world, and damaged cherished equipment of country artists across Music City.

Songwriter Aimee Mayo posted a photo to Twitter on Wednesday, sent to her by country star Kellie Pickler, showing the flooded main hall of the Opry, which sits five miles northeast of the entertainment district. Many instruments, costumes, audio tapes and other historic paraphernalia are feared lost or damaged at the site.

Other facilities are also swamped, including Soundcheck, a rehearsal space on the Cumberland River where Keith Urban and many other artists keep their gear. “I’ve probably lost all of my road equipment, and all my guitars, and amp and everything,” Urban tells CNN.
