“They say that variety is the spice of life. That is no more true when you listen to the music of Warner Brothers recording act The Dirt Drifters. There’s a huge mix of Country, a pinch of Rock & Roll, a sprinkle of the Blues, and more importantly, a whole lot of fun all around while listening to these guys.
They take a lot of pride in their music, and as much pride in who they are recording for. The term “Warner Brothers recording artist” is not lost on them, says the band’s Ryan Fleener. “It never gets old,” he says. “Believe me. A job playing music is pretty cool.”
His brother, lead vocalist Matt Fleener, says that the unique musical blend is something that is very natural to the group, considering their varied upbringings. “We all come from different parts of the country—We’ve got guys from Oklahoma, New Jersey, Tennessee, Louisiana, so regionally and musically, we all come from different backgrounds, which I think when you throw it all in the mix, there’s a variety of sounds in what we do.”
