Country musician Brady Seals is using a song from his latest album, Play Time, to encourage people to not drink and drive.
You may know Brady from when he was a member of the hit 90’s group “Little Texas” or from his more recent solo work. But out of all the songs on all his albums, there is one songs message he hopes will stand out.

“Been there, drunk that” is a fun and upbeat song. But listen closely, it has a serious message. “There is nothing wrong with drinking, going out, rockin, just do it responsibly, get a designated driver. Know when too much is too much”, says Brady Seals.

As you can tell with the art work on the cover of his latest album , “Play Time”, Brady likes to think outside the box. Exactly what he’s doing with this song, which will be released as a single in February. “It’s a fun song but it also has got a cool message. Not just go party your butt off and not be a consequence to it. In the song it’s got a moral saying no thanks joe i’ve been down that road been there drunk that”, says Brady.

Brady’s passion for the song goes deeper than his love for songwriting or country music. When he was just nine the consequences of drunk driving hit home. “I remember the knock on the door, it was a police officer coming to tell us my sister had died in a car accident and the guy who was driving was her boyfriend and wrecked, killed her, destroyed my family, especially my mom”, Brady explains.
The songs message wasn’t enough though. Brady says he also created a slogan, “Rock responsibly. We don’t mind you rockin, everyone loves to rock. Just do it responsibly.”

Over the holiday season, he’s taking the song and it’s message to yet another level. He released psa’s on the radio and myspace, hoping that his lyrics and life experience will keep make you think twice before getting behind the wheel. “Go, rock on, just rock responsibly”, Brady exclaims.
