Steve Azar

Posted by admin On August - 25 - 2009

• In the current issue of Country Weekly, music critic, Chris Neal raves about Steve’s new album giving the CD four stars for “outstanding.” Neal writes, “SLIDE ON OVER HERE is a pitch-perfect progression, retaining some of the previous album’s (Indianola) native Mississippi flavor while expanding its musical scope. The first single, “Moo La Moo,” takes lighthearted stock of the lousy economy, but most of Slide is more timeless than timely-if Indianola was about rediscovering roots, this is about moving forward with what you’ve discovered. As you’ll hear on SLIDE ON OVER HERE, Steve Azar has done just that.”

• Steve will sign copies of his new CD at various Meijer retail stores around the country, including two this month. On Thursday, August 27, he’ll be in Taylor, Michigan (5pm – 7pmET) and Saturday, August 29, he’ll be in Cedar Springs, Michigan (12pm – 2pmET). Meijer is one of the 25 largest retail outlets in the U.S.

• Fans can now connect with Steve through his Twitter at www.twitter.com/steveazar.

• While you’re on Steve’s website www.steveazarlive.com, you can also download a copy of his new single and if you’re so inclined, learn how to do the new Moo La Moo dance and be in the groove!

• During a recent concert performance in Buffalo, New York, Steve performed his hot new single and pulled one of the really good “Moo La Moo” dancers from the crowd on stage to have her demonstrate the dance. Soon, there was a contest going on and everyone in the packed club was “moov-ing” to the groove.  Steve signed and gave away one of his “Delta Soul Logo” guitars to the lucky winner.

•    An avid golfer who’s ranked among Golf Digest's Top 5 Musician Golfers for two years in a row, Steve spends much of his spare time swinging his clubs for charity. This year alone, he’s already participated in several charity golf tournaments including Jim McMahon's "Swang N Super Bowl Bash,” “Kevin Sorbo’s Celebrity Tournament,” and the annual BMW Pro-Am Golf tournament in Mill Spring, NC.

NEW SINGLE by FAST RYDE

Posted by admin On August - 12 - 2009

Welcome to FAST RYDE.

FAST RYDE is James Harrison and Jody Stevens. James, from central Florida to the foothills of the Smokies in Knoxville; Jody, from West Virginia down to Tennessee. FAST RYDE is what happens when a vocal scholarship meets a degree in audio engineering. FAST RYDE is what happens when growing up playing and singing low rent gigs meets growing up writing and recording in garages and run down studios. They started working together just two years ago in Nashville. But they’re anything but a product of Music Row. Together, in their own unique way, James and Jody write and produce all their own songs, sing all their own vocals, and play all their own guitars.

FAST RYDE is muddy 4X4 trucks and sports cars, skateboards and freestyle bikes. True to the spirit of a good time, they write hooky, edgy songs about youth and life, from the prayers of a family farmer to the joy of rockin’ out at concerts, and of course the love of the female figure.

FAST RYDE’s personalities, songs, and image retain a remarkable integrity, the kind that you might expect to come from the isolation of a small town in North Florida, a dumpy apartment in Seattle, or a back road in Ft. Payne, Alabama. FAST RYDE is Jody Stevens and James Harrison. That’s it. No committees, no second-guessing, just two young artists who create music through their own unique filters drawing on the influences of their own unique generation. FAST RYDE is the real deal — like your best memories of the music that took you someplace new and cool for the first time.

Club Connection will be distributing a custom line dance by Mike Diven next week.
