Ronnie Gilley Properties (RGP),
a real estate management, development and marketing organization
headquartered in Enterprise, AL, has developed upscale residential
communities and commercial projects for more than 18 years. A
multi-million dollar business, Ronnie Gilley Properties, LLC is
the umbrella company for 17 different entities formed to cultivate
Enterprise, AL, the “Wiregrass” region and the Florida Panhandle as a
vibrant, nouveau real estate sector. In March 2006, George Jones
signed on as the national spokesperson for RGP to endorse the company’s
objective to construct and create communities with a “Mayberry” feel
featuring the best-of-the-best in amenities and conveniences of the
21st Century.  Since then, Ronnie Gilley Properties has entered into successful and innovative partnerships with Kix Brooks, Alan Jackson, Tracy Lawrence and Steve Holy to develop communities in the Southeast.
At
present, RGP has a number of projects underway in the Panhandle and
other markets in Florida. In Panama City alone, RGP has three luxury
residential projects under construction including La Borgata [a 189-unit residential, family-oriented community project which is being developed in partnership with country star Alan Jackson], Lost Cove Villas, located within the prestigious Wild Heron Community featuring homes that will range in price from $1.3-2.5 Million, and Marina di Massa, described as a “world of difference” in waterfront living to be built on the legendary Holiday Lodge site in Panama City.
In
light of the activity and RGP standards for success in construction in
the Sunshine State and its development model, Governor Bush
appropriated a meeting with Mr. Gilley (Ronnie Gilley Properties)
and the Jones’ as an official welcome to the community.  Mr. Gilley,
George Jones and wife, Nancy, are scheduled to visit Governor Jeb Bush
at the State Capitol in Tallahassee next week on Thursday morning, August 3, 2006.*Following the visit with Governor Bush, Ronnie Gilley and the Jones’ will head to Doak Campbell Stadium where Coach Bobby Bowden,
who has spent his entire lifetime on a football field, will act as
personal guide to tour the multi-level facility that houses a food
court, a restaurant and a sports grill on the top floor that affords a
panoramic view of the well-known field dedicated to his name—Bobby Bowden Field-Doak Campbell Stadium—Home of the Seminoles.

CMT, Warner Bros. Nashville and URGE, MTV Networks’ new digital music
service, together are offering an exclusive complimentary download of
newcomer Lane Turner’s single "Let You Go," beginning July 25. The
single will only be available on URGE. The exclusive download will give
country music fans an early chance to discover Lane Turner in advance
of his debut album, King of Pain, expected to be released early next
year. URGE, launched in May 2006, features an array of exclusive
tracks, music programming, and editorial across all musical genres from
country to classical. To get Lane Turner’s new single, users can visit
www.URGE.com to download the service for free.

Turner, a former All-American decathlete at Texas Tech, knows all about
chasing a dream. On and off the athletic field, Lane’s path has been
one of perseverance and constantly raising the bar. And the hard work
has paid off as Turner prepares for his major-label debut, King of
Pain, on Warner Bros. Records.

Lane Turner’s dream began at age 11 when he received his first guitar
as a gift. His father’s co-worker at the Sheriff’s department in Lane’s
hometown of Levelland, Texas taught Lane how to play. That was, how to
play those classic, simple three-chord country songs by Hank Williams
that fueled Lane’s passion for country music, then and still today.
Over a decade later, Lane Turner has truly raised the bar. After a
successful run with his college band, Diamondback – who graduated from
frat parties to opening act for the likes of Brooks & Dunn and Mark
Chesnutt – to years of building up his own reputation as a top-draw on
the club circuit from the Carolinas to Calgary, Lane Turner now finds
himself on the threshold of his debut release.

him at MySpace.com/LaneTurner. For more information on CMT’s Summer of

Country Music Hidden Treasures Recovered By Mark Chesnutt

Posted by admin On July - 25 - 2006

A one-stop-shop, CBuJ Entertainment-Nashville (chartered
in Chesnutt’s home state of Texas) is an independent record label,
wholesale distributor and music licensing entity that markets,
distributes and releases new projects from newcomers and some of the
best-of-the-best in country music history.Chesnutt’s alliance
with CBuJ is one of the many innovative partnerships under the CBuJ ink
mark.  In an equity partnership with the entertainment company,
Chesnutt will release his new CD entitled HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG
just after Labor Day Weekend.  Under the CBuJ umbrella, the
organization will coordinate and oversee the radio promotion,
marketing, distribution and sales. “We think Mark Chesnutt is a classic—a country music artist who’s never strayed from tradition,” says John Burns, President and CEO of CBuJ (See-Boo-Jay).  “In
keeping with old-time tradition, our business concept is to get back to
basics.  We handle all of the financial aspects, business dealings and
the promotion, and leave complete creative rein with Mark to record
music he believes in,” adds Burns.  “The
simplicity of the partnership structure will be the key to its
success.  Mark concentrates on what he does best—recording great
music—and we handle the rest.”Burns is a music industry
veteran best known for his role as President of UNI Distribution
Worldwide [now Universal Music & Video Distribution] and his
four-year tenure as General Manager and Executive VP of Giant Records.
He worked with Chesnutt to distribute Mark’s first record TOO COLD AT HOME which was certified Platinum in 1990.  Stephen McCord,
CBuJ’s VP of Sales & Marketing, also has a success record with
Chesnutt; McCord worked with Mark for eight years as the head of the
marketing department at MCA/Decca during the same time period when
Chesnutt made his appearance as a here-to-stay country music newcomer.  The team reunites in this unique business paradigm to present HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG. The first single release to be introduced from the endeavor will be Mark’s recording of the Marshall Tucker Band classic, “Heard It In A Love Song” (written by Toy Caldwell/produced by Ralph Sall)—slated for an August 14, 2006 radio add date. (July 24 CDX/VOL. 401) Carrying
the torch in the footsteps of George Jones and Waylon Jennings,
Chesnutt has made a trademark for himself.  With four platinum albums,
five gold albums, 14 No. 1 singles and 23 Top 10 singles to his name,
his “voice” has shaped the music of today’s country music newcomers and
the new country music generation.HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG is Chesnutt’s homage to some of his personal heroes and a collection he describes as “sleepers.”  “Some of these songs were never really big hits,” says Chesnutt to introduce the song list.  “But,
they are really good songs and it’s really good music.  Anybody and
everybody who says they are a country music lover should become
re-acquainted or introduced to these songs.  So…I ‘uncovered’ ‘em!”
In addition to the Marshall Tucker classic, the 10-song CD is selection
of hand-picked favorites and features an acoustic version of “Hard Secret To Keep” (SAVIN’ THE HONKY TONK), his rendition of “Dreaming My Dreams With You”  (Waylon Jennings) and  “A Day In The Life Of A Fool”  (George Jones), and a Mark Chesnutt co-write entitled “That Good That Bad” (written with Slugger Morrissette and Roger Springer of the Mark Chesnutt ‘90’s fame.)  “I
recorded this music for ‘the’ country music fan.  My intention in
recording these songs was not to out-do any of the previous
recordings—because that just can’t be done—but to reintroduce some of
the authentic music that made country music great and still does today,” adds Chesnutt.  A collection of quintessential country songs, HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG is signatured by Mark Chesnutt’s vocal interpretation with a less-is-more production.Mark is currently in the studio with Jimmy Ritchey (SAVIN’ THE HONKY TONK) working to put the finishing touches on two final cuts for the record.  HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG  (produced by Jimmy Ritchey, Mark Wright, Ralph Sall and Mark Chesnutt) is scheduled for a September 5 album release.
