Blake Shelton Files For Divorce

Posted by admin On March - 31 - 2006

The two were married less than three years before
filing for divorce in late February.  Kaynette traveled with Shelton as
an assistant before getting married in November of 2003.  She also
briefly appears in Shelton’s "Some Beach" video.

The filing cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Tim McGraw NBC Special Moves To April 7

Posted by admin On March - 31 - 2006

In New York City, McGraw again proves why he’s such an audience
favorite with his steamy appearance at The Avalon before hundreds of
fans that includes some favorite classics and new hits that have the
audience on their feet. To juxtapose his big-city performance, the
special also shows McGraw up-close and personal on his Nashville farm.
There, he’s joined by country music legend Hank Williams Jr. for a jam
session, plus an orchestra for his rendition of “My Little Girl” — the
title track of his upcoming feature film “Flicka” – his long-time band
the Dancehall Doctors, and wife and fellow superstar Faith Hill as the
couple sing to each other in front of their fireplace.

For McGraw, 2006 continues to be a busy year. In addition to his
upcoming network special, the Grammy Award-winning singer’s highly
anticipated album “Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol. 2,” will be released
on March 28. He also has the year’s fastest selling concert event with
his spring-summer “Soul 2 Soul II” tour with wife Hill which begins on
April 21 and will include 70-plus cities, plus his upcoming Fox film
“Flicka” is currently scheduled to be in theaters later this year.

McGraw is one of country music’s most popular and well-respected
performers. His concert tours consistently rank at #1 and the "Soul 2
Soul II" Tour 2006, which is currently selling out across the nation,
should be no different. His career has seen 26 #1 singles, 33 million
albums sold, two high-rated previous NBC specials (2002 and 2004), and
an abundant list of music awards, including three Grammys, 11 Academy
of Country Music Awards and nine Country Music Association Awards.

Tim McGraw and Anthony Eaton are executive producers of this special from Tall Pony Productions. Sherman Halsey directed.

College students aren’t the only ones getting a spring break this year
– Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are planning a little family getaway of
their own. Before they hit the road for their well-publicized Soul2Soul
II tour, Tim and Faith will head for a tropical paradise, accompanied
by fellow country couple John McBride and Martina McBride. Tim says it
will definitely be a packed house. He explains, quote, “It’s our little
private paradise that the kids love that we always go to…Martina and
John are going with us…we’ll have eight girls and me and John…we may be
pushed out to – on a boat with no oars at one point, you never know.”
Tim and Faith’s Soul2Soul tour II kicks off next month.

Tim and Faith say their kids are old enough to miss they’re friends
while they’re on the upcoming Soul2Soul II tour, so, they’re going to
make sure their daughter’s friends can join them on the road. “They
have friends that will come out on the road,” says Faith. Tim says
they’ll even have their own bus, “We have a bus set up so they’re
friends can join them on the road.” “A little sleepover on the road,”
Faith says with glee.

Tim told Esquire magazine earlier this year that he would like to run
for political office – perhaps even as Governor of Tennessee. Bill
Clinton even gave him a sterling recommendation. His interest in
politics has taken center stage recently after he and his wife, Faith
Hill, made critical comments about the U-S Government’s handling of the
Hurricane Katrina and Rita aftermath cleanup. “Oh, I’ve always been
interested in politics. I mean, I think that, unlike a lot of people -
there’s some bad ones out there, I guess, but I still think that that’s
a high calling and I think that it’s a very noble thing to do is to try
to serve the people who served you or helped you or gotten you where
you are at.” Tim, a Democrat, said that his three daughters would have
to be grown, though, before he would even consider taking public
office.

Catch Tim on TV in support of the album release include this Friday’s "Today Show," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on April 4th, and his third NBC-TV special "Tim McGraw Reflected," which airs April 7th (8:00 pm ET / 7:00 pm CT)

Rogers Scores Biggest Billboard Debut In 22 Years

Posted by admin On March - 31 - 2006

“We
are thrilled with our first week’s sales!” exclaimed Mike Dungan,
President/CEO Capitol Records Nashville.  “This album is full of
rich great songs, and I am confident that we are just beginning to crank this
up.”

After
charting a record in each of the last six decades, Rogers proves he is still as
current today as he was when his classics like “The Gambler,”
“Lady” and “Islands In the Stream” were at the top of
the charts. He still shows he is a chart contender with his new single “I
Can’t Unlove You” making a jump three spots this week from #29 to
#26 on the Billboard country singles charts. He is also right up there on the
video charts (#8 on the CMT Top 20 Countdown) competing with superstars like
Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley and
Brooks & Dunn.

Rogers
just celebrated his release week in New York with media appearances and
performances on major national television shows including: CBS Sunday Morning, Good Morning America, CBS Early Show, CNN Showbiz Tonight, CNN American Morning, and Entertainment Tonight’s “The
Insider.”

“Our talent is deep this year, including many artists who are
multi-award winners. We’re proud to offer this kind of quality to our
fans,” said Andrews. “Saskatchewan will be the site of the best
festival in Canada. We’re bringing some great talent that we hope
country music fans will enjoy.”

Phil Vassar Sells-Out Show….Again

Posted by admin On March - 31 - 2006

The latest development is yet another group of sold out
shows, these set for Boston and Philadephia. And the only April Fools
to that story will be fans who waited too long for their shot at a
seat. Unfortunately, they won’t have much luck getting…

…into other shows either as tickets for upcoming dates in Chicago, New York and the Boston area have also been picked clean…

In fact, Vassar’s track record in New England is well beyond trend
status. Just ask concert promoter Pete Lally. "We are very excited to
have Phil Vassar returning to the Lowell Auditorium for his third
consecutive sell out. His last two shows here have blown audiences
away, so it’s no surprise that he’s sold out again."

Inspiring as they are, Vassar’s piano-pounding performances
are just one of facet of his brilliance. His Greatest Hits collection
showcases several more, featuring many of his biggest hits as well as
newly-recorded versions of songs he wrote for others. The album also
features his new single, "Last Day Of My Life," which is already on the
verge of the top 20.

Vassar was recently nominated for an Emmy Award in the
"Outstanding Original Song" category for his composition "Live For
Today," which was written and recorded for NBC’s Today show. His tour
is sponsored by Movie Gallery.
