When Tim McGraw took the stage at the benefit concert for the Second
Harvest Food Bank in Nashville – he made sure it was something special.
Nashville’s newspaper, "The Tennessean," reports that Tim’s wife, Faith
Hill, couldn’t make it, but Tim was still able to perform their hit
duet, "It’s Your Love." His duet partner? A cross-dressed songwriter by
the name of Tony Mullins. Although the duet did stop the show, event
organizer (and "Live Like You Were Dying" tunesmith) Craig Wiseman says
the most memorable moment was getting a chance to perform with Ronnie
Dunn. They debuted the first song they’ve written together, Brooks
& Dunn’s new single, "Believe." Craig said he had to fight back
tears as the song received a standing ovation from the Ryman Auditorium
crowd. The benefit raised well over $60,000 for the Second Harvest Food
Bank, one of the organizations responsible for helping feed the
thousands of evacuees displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST OF FAITH HILL AND TIM MCGRAW’S PREVIOUS DUET HITS?
Of the three previous McGraw-Hill collaborations, "It’s Your Love,"
"Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me," and "Let’s Make Love," …"It’s
Your Love" by far ranks highest. It was the only one of the three to
hit Number One staying on top for six weeks in 1997.
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina that brought devastation to parts of
Louisiana, native son Tim McGraw quickly spearheaded A Concert for
Hurricane Relief to help the victims. Tim shares, "Just imagine the
children who are involved, the babies and the children who are
helpless." It made him think of his own family – wife Faith Hill and
their three daughters, Gracie, Maggie and Audrey. Tim and Faith talk
about their roles as parents in this week’s Country Weekly cover story.
Tim explains, "We love our life, we love our kids." Faith adds, "Our
children are just the greatest gift from God. On so many layers and so
many levels, they enrich our lives." In the article Faith also reveals
that she and Tim would like to act in a project together. "It would
have to be something special," she says. "I don’t think it would
necessarily have to be a love story." The couple also talks about the
romantic things they’ve done for each other and the possibility of
having more children.
