Kenny’s riding high on the heels of another big outdoor show last
weekend at New England’s Gillette Stadium (home of the Patriots) – he
drew a crowd of more than 50-thousand, reportedly making the concert
the largest country music gathering ever held in the six-state region.
Kenny was presented with his own Patriots jersey by members of the
Super Bowl champion team prior to the show…and he was spotted by
tailgaters as he cruised through the parking lots on a three-wheeler
before the show began!

New to the line-up of Farm Aid 2005 Presented by Silk Soymilk
are the ever-famous touring band Widespread Panic, queen of all musical
genres, Emmylou Harris, folk legend Arlo Guthrie, and acoustic rock
artist John Mayer.
These and other artists will join Farm Aid president and founder
Willie Nelson and board members Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave
Matthews, as well as recently announced artists Kenny Chesney, Wilco,
Los Lonely Boys, Buddy Guy and Susan Tedeschi. The message coming from
the music and the musicians on stage on September 18th at the Tweeter
Center in Tinley Park, IL, will be a call to action, urging Americans
to choose food from family farms.
“Concertgoers who come to Tinley Park will be overwhelmed by the
talent of this year’s Farm Aid concert,” said Carolyn Mugar, Farm Aid
Executive Director. “My advice to those who want to see this show —
get your tickets early, because they’re going to go fast.”
Widespread Panic, known for their improvisation and ability to never
play the same show twice, will bring their Southern jam sounds to Farm
Aid for the first time this year. Farm Aid veterans Emmylou Harris and
Arlo Guthrie will return to the stage; Harris with her exquisite vocal
style and a gift for discovering the heart of a song that crosses all
genres, and Guthrie with his folk stories, tales and anecdotes that are
a cornerstone of his amazing musical performances. With his acoustic
guitar and boundless energy, John Mayer will join Farm Aid for the
first time this year performing on stage with Buddy Guy.
Tickets for America’s longest running benefit concert series go on
sale July 30 at 10 a.m. CDT and are available at all Ticketmaster
outlets, the Tweeter Center box office, charge by phone in Chicago at
(312) 559-1212, or online at www.ticketmaster.com/.

Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp organized the first
Farm Aid concert in 1985 to raise awareness about the loss of family
farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on their land. Dave
Matthews joined the Farm Aid Board of Directors in 2001. Farm Aid has
raised more than $27 million to promote a strong and resilient family
farm system of agriculture. Through public education and direct grants,
Farm Aid supports national, regional and local efforts to build and
strengthen family farm food production.

"From
day-one, we’ve studied groups like Jimmy Buffett, The
Stones, Aerosmith, even Ozzy
Osbourne – people like that who’ve been able to go out and put
on big, successful shows," Ronnie says. "We try to
emulate that." The fun begins next Friday in Dallas…and includes an
August 30 performance on ABC’s Good Morning America to
coincide with that day’s release of their new CD, Hillbilly Deluxe.

"It is weird
to have people talking about you and saying different things about you
when you, you know, were unknown months ago," he admits. People are
only going to be talking more as Keith’s second single, "XXL," hits the
